CAIDX

The project CAIDX establishes cooperation between artificial intelligence (AI) providers and healthcare institutions to help healthcare professionals integrate AI, and thus improve diagnostics and treatment.
In the spotlight

How can you as a company, hospital or researcher unlock the great potential and break down the barriers in developing and implementing AI technologies in the healthcare sector?

Watch the CAIDX-webinar series on the development of AI-Based Diagnostics:

  • IPR (intellectual property rights) in relation to AI and the use of patient data - watch the recording
  • Where can you find professional sparring, when developing AI diagnostic solutions to the healthcare sector? - watch the recording
  • The coming AI legislation will change everything ... or will everything change? - watch the recording
  • Clinical validation of AI diagnostics solutions. Cross-talk between clinicians and AI scientists – “scouting tour” - watch the recording

This guide provides an overview of best practices and guidelines for exercising due diligence regarding third-party patents, as well as strategies for safeguarding your own inventions.

AI is advancing rapidly. The industry is intensively developing AI and data-driven diagnostics tools for applications in the healthcare sector. However, the implementation of AI solutions into the healthcare environment is challenging. There is a gap between healthcare providers and the companies providing AI solutions.

CAIDX (acronym for Clinical Artificial Intelligence based Diagnostics) aims to provide tools that facilitate the uptake of AI and data-driven diagnostics tools in healthcare institutions.  We focus on contracting, clinical and technical development, capacity building and collaborations between hospitals and other healthcare providers and the industry ecosystem.

By collecting best practices and creating guidelines for development, testing and implementation of AI applications in healthcare, we support and accompany the cultural change necessary to unfold the potential of AI in the healthcare sector.

The piloted tools will be publicly available in form of a digital CAIDX toolbox and disseminated via a roadshow throughout the Baltic Sea Region.

CAIDX: Navigating Challenges in Development and Implementation of AI Solutions for Clinical Diagnostics

Overview

IP Rights for SMEs Developing AI-Based Clinical Diagnostic Methods and Tools
Developing AI-based clinical diagnostic methods and tools involves navigating a complex landscape of intellectual property (IP) rights. Companies operating in this field must carefully manage both the protection of their own innovations and the risk of infringing on third party IP rights, particularly patents. This guide provides an overview of best practices and guidelines for exercising due diligence regarding third party patents, as well as strategies for safeguarding your own inventions.Go to document
